This study explored reactions and perceptions of medical professionals to the use of wireless technology in the Pakistani healthcare setting. A questionnaire was developed and 300 medical professionals were surveyed with 97 completed survey forms returned. Regression analysis of the data indicated that clinical performance and better quality of services would be the key determinants in using wireless technology in Pakistani healthcare. These medical professionals indicated that in order to continuously use the technology, training and technical supports were essential.
They also indicated that the introduction of such a technology will result in the attraction of more practitioners, save time, save effort and provide high quality information. Collectively, these factors,
in the opinion of these professionals will reduce inaccuracies in data.
